In our human world many aspects of a dogβs natural behaviour are not appropriate.
You will see me in this video playing with his favourite toys and even putting down a yummy treat all of which he is learning to make the choice to leave, why BECAUSE it is up to us if we want our dog to be safe in our human world fitting in.β
Dogs need to resist the urge to
– run across a busy road (they may see other dogs who look to be having so much fun but couldnβt a car hit them?)
– stealing a cooked chicken bone (dangerous to dogs) or
– running out your front door or gate because it is open.
We want to help you be the best guardian you can be by helping your dog with his manners in our world.
Its about teaching βThis is what you can doβ rather than βThis is what you canβtβ.
Teaching your dog to sit or at least to look at you whenever he wants something is a great way to improve general behaviour.ππ»
